Phaeton Project

What is Phaeton?

Phaeton is an ensemble of software packages developed with ambition to perform data analysis and modeling (DAM) on access restricted data. It is primarily developed to support DAM activities that need sensitive data at the time of a possible pandemic.

It consists of three major pieces, Phaeton Hub, Trusted Model Validation Enviornment (TMVE) and Model Submission and Leaderboard (MSLAB). Phaeton Hub is a platform-as-a-service (based on Jupyterhub) for developing and/or running models on mock or synthetic data. TMVE is an API that reproduces the same environment model ran on at data premises (airgapped, no internet access) to run the model on sensitive data. It also generates a performance report for the model as a feedback to developer of the model. MSLAB is the API that prepares and tests the models for submission before sending them to data premises. It keeps a track of model performances in a leaderboard.
